Managing audio

Each post has a Voicgen Audio panel in the editor sidebar. Use it to see status, start or redo generation, and turn audio off for that post only.

Voicgen Audio panel

If you have not saved an API key yet, the panel tells you to open Settings → Voicgen first. After setup, you see the current status, a progress area while audio is processing, and buttons to generate or regenerate. Errors show a short message; if you hit your plan limit, you may see a link to upgrade your Voicgen plan.

What the statuses mean

StatusMeaning
Not generatedNo audio yet—common for new posts or posts created before Voicgen was installed.
QueuedVoicgen has received the request and processing is about to start or is waiting in line.
Generating…Audio is being created; you may see a progress indicator while it runs.
ReadyAudio is available and the player can appear on the public post (unless disabled).
FailedSomething went wrong; read the message and try Regenerate audio, or check your key and Voicgen account.

Posts list

On Posts → All Posts, the Audio column shows a compact label for each post (for example Ready, Queued, or Disabled). Use it to spot posts that still need audio or that failed without opening every editor.

Disable audio for one post

Check Disable audio for this post to hide the player and skip automatic generation for that article. Uncheck it later if you change your mind. This is useful for posts that are mostly images, video, or very short notices.

Many older postsThere is no bulk “generate all” button inside WordPress. Work through important posts one by one, or ask your team how they use the Voicgen website for larger batches if your plan includes that.
