Installation

Install Voicgen like any WordPress plugin: upload the package you received, activate it, then complete setup under Settings → Voicgen. Your site should run WordPress 5.8+ and PHP 8.0+.

Upload the plugin

In your WordPress dashboard go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. Choose the Voicgen zip file, click Install Now, then Activate Plugin.

Connect Voicgen

Open Settings → Voicgen and add your API key. See the Configuration page for step-by-step help.

First time setupUntil an API key is saved, you may see a notice in the admin and a reminder in the post editor to configure Voicgen.

Install manually (FTP or file manager)

If you cannot use the uploader, unpack the zip on your computer and upload the Voicgen plugin folder into your site's pluginsdirectory using FTP or your host's file manager. Then go to Plugins in WordPress and click Activate.

Check that it worked

  • Plugins lists Voicgen as active.
  • Settings includes Voicgen.
  • Editing a post shows the Voicgen Audio panel in the sidebar (after your API key is configured).

If your PHP version is too old, the site may behave oddly—confirm PHP 8.0 or higher under Tools → Site Health.
